A term used to refer to eyeglasses with convex lenses. They are used by people who are far-sighted, Conves lenses compensate for when the lens of the eye is too weak to focus an object that is up close.

Of course, if the lens of the eye is too weak, it may not be possible to view distance objects while wearing plus glasses. Therefore you must take off your glasses to look up from the book you're reading, or the computer screen. This is where bifocals help.
