Pulmonary edema is the buildup of fluid in the lungs.

Symptoms include:

• dyspnea (shortness of breath)
• tachycardia (rapid heart beat)
• tachypnea (rapid breathing)
• hypertension (high blood pressure)
• cold extremities
• cough with frothy/discolored sputum
• abnormal breathing sounds
