A realtor is someone who is an agent that helps a client buy or sell a home or other type of property.

According to the (stupid) laws you must write "realtor" as "REALTOR" as it is a trademarked word.

A Realtor™ (the term is a registered trademark) is a real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of Realtors and subscribes to their code of ethics.

A Realtor™ is not necessarily a more effective agent or more ethical person than any other real estate agent, of course, but it could be evidence that they take ethical and professional commitments seriously.
