In Mage the Ascension, a Technomancer is nickname used by the Traditions for a member of the Technocracy who is actively practicing their science (and actually has an arete stat). They are the ones who forge their organization's goals farther along, and they are the ones who design and maintain the devices that their mundane agents use... and they can be far more dangerous than any HIT mark or Iteration X cyborg, because they truly understand their science and can use it to its fullest extent.
