Shortly after Gumby hacked Pokey to death with a small, yet alarmingly effective meat cleaver (they never thought a cooking segment could go so terribly wrong), one of the animators was forced to bludgeon Gumby to death with a cellular phone. His last words were squeeky, and unintelligible, but no doubt included several profanities and the words 'now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds', according to one leading home shopping network spokesperson.
