a monstrous invention from the dark ages before junk food. I found a 'recipe' for this in a book given me by my grandmother. It goes roughly like this:

• Burn some toast.
• Strain some water through the toast.
• Serve.

I don't know if this was some sort of joke, but the book suggested you serve to 'elderly and infirm'. How, exactly, this would help these poor individuals I don't know (activated charcoal perhaps?).
