A crude form of cheat, describing the sequence of events and solutions to puzzles necessary to play an adventure game (both graphically based ones and interactive fiction from start to finish without ever really having to think. Once in a while it is useful, however, when game designers (see the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy text game) include nigh-impossible problems for the poor player to get around without assistance.
