In the world of Jazz, and for that matter, music in general, it is very hard to make a name for yourself. This is where I step in...
Jazz
- Rick Latham and the Groove Doctors
This amazing band has a smooth sound, with saxophones, piano, guitar, bass, and bebopping vocals. Some of my favorites of theirs:
- Bonnie's Song
- Slinky
- Lucky Seven
- Da Brayne
This musician is an amazingly talented saxophone player. Such a funky groove beat you can jive to.
- How 'Bout a Little Sax Baby?
- Untitled 2 - Cool Bass Groove
- Geoff Mattoon
A beautiful musician with low funky basslines, a great saxophone lead, great vocals, and the occasional funky guitar chorus. A true Jazz great.
- Paradise *****
- Blue Train
This band is very funky. My favorite song begins with a high-wind instrument, perhaps flute, playing a mysterious jazzy tune with pumping drums and bassline in the background. Later in the song, a very talented keyboard wiggles it's way in, followed by bongo drums.
