William Irving,
James Kirke Paulding, and
Washington Irving, writing under
psuedonyms such as
Anthony Evergreen,
Jeremy Cockcroft, Esq., and
Mustapha Rub-a-Dub Keli Khan.
The periodical consisted of light verse and droll commentary, along with essays on topics such as 'the conduct of the world',
politics,
society, women's
fashions,
enertainment, etc.
