I'm a software development lead (official title is Staff Product Developer for an independent software vendor (ISV) in the Silicon Valley. I've lived in the Valley since 1999 and enjoy the heck out of the weather and the outdoor activities.

Prior to moving to California, I lived for 12 years in Richmond, Virginia. I came to Richmond after graduating from Virginia Tech in 1988. My degree is in Electrical Engineering and I worked as a hardware design engineer for 6 years in the HVAC industry. I was laid off in 1994 and began my career as a software developer.
