The recurrent character in the short stories of science fiction master Stanislaw Lem. Tichy (whose name, it is revealed in the Star Diaries, stems from the sound "tsk-tsk") is an everyman character, an average guy but also a programmer and an astronaut. Thus, Lem anticipated, back in the early 1960s, the rise of silicon valley, where every other person is yet another code-slinging geek.

Tichy appears most prevalently in Tales of Pirx the Pilot and The Star Diaries.
