The Lokai is a breed of horse.

Lokais are bred in Tadjikistan, in the valleys and mountainous regions formed by the western ridges of the Pamirs.

The breed originated in the seventeenth century, and are used as pack horses, and often long-distance riding horses.

The record time for two-year-olds over 1.2 kilometers is 1 minute, 22 seconds, while adult horses have covered 7 kilometers in 5 minutes, 12 seconds.

Their colours are grey, bay, and chestnut; as with many Russian breeds, they often have a characteristic golden tint.
