A
sugar cookie that has been
rolled in
cinnamon before baking.
Snickerdoodles
2 3/4 C
all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp
salt
1 tsp
baking soda
2 tsp
cream of tartar
1 1/2 C
sugar
1 C
butter or
margarine, softened
2
eggs
1/2 C
sugar
1 tbsp
cinnamon
Preheat
oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine first 5
ingredients in a large
bowl; set aside. In another large
bowl, cream the
butter, add
eggs and
beat at low
speed until
mixture is
smooth. Add dry
ingredients and
beat at low
speed until mixed.
Combine
sugar and
cinnamon in a small
bowl. Shape the dough into 1"
balls and roll in
cinnamon-
sugar blend. Arrange on ungreased
baking sheets 2" apart and
bake for 16 to 19 minutes, or until light golden brown. Transfer to
wire racks to cool.
