The Plaza is a large, famous and luxurious hotel at the corner of 59th street (Central Park South) and Fifth Avenue in New York City. It fell upon hard times in the 1980s, and was purchased by (shudder) Donald Trump in 1988 and run by his then-wife Ivana Trump. It was sold again (I believe) to a Japanese consortium in the early 1990s and service has deteriorated. It was the home of Eloise, featured in Crocodile Dundee and many (better) movies.
