Following my previously aborted attempts at melding human, pig, and cattle DNA, I have decided to remove all evidence of such events with FLAME.

It just so happens that the house I am renting during the school year has a barbecue in the garage. It also happens that parties are not allowed by my lease. This is not a party. This is a way awesome cookout. Big difference.

Expect:

  • DJs. A bunch of them. I have also invited my school friends, the majority of which are involved in the Electronic Music Association (incidentally, April 4th, we're throwing a massive and you can come to that too hint hint)
  • Red meat! Not the comic strip, but the actual deal. I will supply burgers, hot italian sausages, chips, soda, and other stuff.
  • NO BOOZE. Wait, not exactly. I just can't afford to buy any alcohol and also supply food. Bring what you like and please share!
  • no drugs on the house property pls kthx.

I may be able to provide a small amount of sleeping space.

May 3, 2003 is not my birthday, but it is the closest SATURDAY. You may show up any time after noon, unless you want to help clean my house, in which case you may show up early.

Use the blab box to tell me if'n yer comin!

OH RIGHT, directions! Use mapquest or whatever to get to the address in my homenode, which is

54 Bayberry Rd.
Narragansett, RI 02882

I didn't think this would be an issue, but I am one half-hour from the Providence Amtrak station, 15 minutes from the Kingston, RI Amtrak station, and around 30 minutes from TF Green Airport (PVD).

I love giving directions, and mapquest sometimes sucks. A friend was coming to visit me in New Hampshire during Christmas break and checked mapquest for directions, but luckily ran them by me first. I couldn't even follow them, because the routes they listed don't even connect, as far as I know. And I live there.

Anyway, to get to this shindig (it's not a party, remember): From the South:

  • take 95 North into RI, then exit 3 to Rt 138 EAST (yes, I'm sure it's east this time, buddy)
  • follow 138 EAST past URI
  • at the intersection with Rt 108, go forward
  • at the intersection with Rt 1, go forward
  • at the next light, turn right onto Boston Neck Rd
  • at the next light(Shell station on your left), turn left towards Bonnet Shores
  • at the fork in the road, enjoy a snack...I mean, hang right onto Bonnet Point Rd
  • straight at the stopsign, through the cat-tail forest
  • the second street on your left, after cat-tails, is Bayberry Rd. Go about a block and a half to # 54
From the North:
  • take 95 south into RI
  • take exit 9 on your left, onto Rt 4
  • at the third set of lights (Texaco on your right) turn left
  • at the next light, turn right onto Boston Neck Rd
  • at the next light, turn left towrds Bonnet Shores
  • at the fork in the road, hang right onto Bonnet Point
  • forward through the stop sign and on into the cat-tail forest
  • second street on the left (after cat-tails) is Bayberry, #54 is on your right

From Newport, for you special people: I think you can figure it out. :)
