Created in 1996 to host the demo scene archives, scene.org is the best archive today. It stores all the demos released in the latest parties, has a selection of the best musicians and music groups, and offers web space for demo-related activities. The main server is now hosted in Holland but ftp mirrors are available all around the world. News and irc servers are also provided.
