A character in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novel "Thief of Time". She is an Auditor, one of a group of beings who categorize and count and order life -- particularly, they would like to stop time so that they can sort it all out once and for all. In this particular book, they coalesce a human in the form of Lady Lejean, who discovers that being human involves less voluntary action than she thought. Sensory input is not quite as mundane as we think.
