the direction of the pencil as it draws, or whatever is making the line or the circle
assuming it had a creator
if not, you should probably follow it and ride it for what it is
ride it as a line, if it were a line
ride it as a circle, if it were a circle
don't worry about the differences upon which they were made or were brought into place
it's not useful, and it's not fair to treat a line as if it were a circle
