Today my friend
Peter was in the studio filming
Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and I came home from work early to be one of his
Phone a Friends. About 30 minutes into the prescribed 4:00-7:00pm window, a
producer calls to let me know that Peter has made his way to the
Hot Seat. She tells me to answer the next phone call on the third ring, and say, "
Hello", in a normal voice.
I wait around, reading a book, web browser open to Google, when the phone rings. Leaping to the desk, I answer it on the third ring. "Hello". The producer tells me that Peter has used his Phone a Friend, and that I'm free to go.
So close, yet so far.
