free software project with the goal of creating an
x86 virtualization program. This basically allows you to run more than one operating system on the same computer at the same time, each in its own
virtual machine. The project was created by Kevin Lawton, the author of Bochs to be a free (
LGPL) alternative to
VMWare.
It is
not emulation like
DOSEmu or translation like
WINE.
