Born Ellen Noami Cohen on 19 September 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland. Died of a heart attack on 29 July 1974 in London, England. Was known as Cass Elliot during her performing career. Mama Cass became involved in performing in local musical and stage productions in high school. The Mamas and the Papas were formed in 1965.
