Eclectic Scion - This seems to have
popped up a few times recently. The
quote, as taken from the
Oxford Dictionary of Quotations is:
"This is the sort of English, up with which I will not put"
The story goes that Churchill wrote this in the margin of a report given to him by a civil servant, which contained a mis-used preposition.
