A children's book by

Perhaps his most famous, this book describes a mischievous
cat who comes to visit two bored little kids, and then
seriously trashes their house in amusing ways, putting the kids in to a
panic before he manages to get it cleaned up before
mom comes home.
The Cat in the Hat, like his other books, consists of simple and delightfully fanciful rhymes. The Cat in the Hat has also been made in to an animated film.
