Kevin Brown was one of the best pitchers in baseball during the 1990s and early 2000s, and also one of the meanest. Even Brown's own teammates wouldn't talk to him on a days he was pitching because of how mean he would get, and one time Brown's famous nasty comments to a reporter brought the man to tears.

After 1996 Brown was statistically one of four best pitchers in the game for almost a decade. The Georgia-born fireballer terrorized hitters of all stripes with an array of sliders, sinkers, and changeups, thrown from a variety of arm angles and set up by a 95 mph fastball with incredible movement typically described as "filthy."

Brown was the ace of back-to-back World Series teams with the Marlins in 1997 and the Padres in 1998. Brown threw a no-hitter against the Giants in 1997.
