Q-Tip, born Jonathan Davis, Jr. was a rapper famous for his intelligence, nice guy persona and considerable skills. He also had the good luck of having a DJ that wrote some good music for him, as well as a comic side-kick that complimented his personality as well. Apart from his group A Tribe Called Quest, he appeared as a guest star on over 20 groups' songs, cementing his fame.
Sadly enough, Q-Tip, thought by many to be one of the leaders of the hip-hop movement, seems to have fallen off as of late, producing stale raps on top of unoriginal music.
