I once had a 1x CDROM. I used it to
clean mailing
lists by comparing them to the
Post Office's CD of every
address in the US. It's the sort of process I'd start at
night, and it would finish in the
morning.
I loaned the drive to my
brother once I got a different job, and he
broke it. I miss it now - I think it might be a
collector's item! I wonder how much I could get for something like that on one of the auction sites?
Anyway, I felt like such an
alpha geek, having one of the first CDROMS. Those were the days!
