Peter Beardsley was, in fact, a rather talented attacking midfield player and
NOT a defender in any team ever.
On occasion he had a tendency to run around like a headless chicken but was nevertheless one of the most inventive english footballers of the 80's/90's.
He played for the Canadian team Vancouver Redcaps before spending his glory days between Newcastle UTD and Liverpool FC.
